Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
& Line Reactor
& Line Reactor
Integration of this technology offers savings in energy consumption.
In plain terms, a VFD controls the motor speed and torque by varying input frequency.
Traditionally, older systems utilized fixed speed motors and pumps. Upgrading to a VFD allows for variable speed control for the motors based on real-time demand. During low demand, the motors will reduce speed and during higher demand, speed will be increased accordingly to produce desired flow rate. The upgrade is complete with a 3% line reactor installed in the power supply to the VFD. |
